David has found his hands over the last few days. He wiggles his fingers and stares at them in amazement. Yesterday when I was burping him over my shoulder I turned to look at him. He was holding his hand out from his face, wiggling his fingers and would slowly bring his hand closer to his face. It was so precious I wish I could have taped it. But, here he is today having some play time and rediscovering those little fingers again.

Smile!
It's been very difficult for me to get a picture of David's precious smile because it usually happens when he's on the changing table. But, this one is pretty cute! I can't believe he is already 8 weeks old- he's growing too fast.

Lake Time
Almost every weekend in the summer we go to the lake. David has already spent numerous hours on the boat mostly eating, sleeping and riding along while others ski and tube. But, today he put on his bathing suit (with a little help) and went for a dip in the lake with his Daddy. They sat on the back of the boat and got his feet wet. Judging by the crying that ensued when Ryan took him out, I'd say he liked it.

Cousins
David has two cousins, both of whom I'm sure love him very much. But, there is one who absolutely adores him beyond words- his cousin, Cate. She loves to hold David anytime. When he's sleeping, when he's crying, when he's happy, when he's sad. She doesn't care. She loves to talk to him, watch me change him, supervise feeding time and even knows how to bounce him just right. She's been the only one who knew who to make him happy several times. She is a wonderful big cousin.

On May 25, I turned 29 years old. While I was given some absolutely wonderful presents, NOTHING could top this gift! He is more precious to me than any material possession I could ever receive. He is more treasured than all the money in the world. He is the most special gift God can give and I thank Him for my little boy everyday.
