Pardon the Interruption

Sorry to breakup the Christmas memory fun, but I just HAVE to post about...

The kids' first time to a Hibachi restaurant.

We had such a WONDERFUL time. David and Rachael absolutely loved the whole thing. Ryan and I may have not done a great job of explaining what was going to happen, though. We just said the chef was going to cook our food right in front of us and that it was going to be really fun. Should have told them about the giant flames...

But, once the initial shock of the pyrotechnics wore off [in about 2 seconds], they enjoyed every moment.

David kept an eye on the chef while scarfing down the Miso Soup. He LOVED it!

Watching the flames shoot up.

While we were still there David asked, "Mama, when it starts to get dark outside and my belly gets hungry, can we come eat here again?" "Absolutely!"

They were a bit disappointed when the chef was finished. But, they both ate a ton of food [excluding the salad] and loved every bite. I love spending family time this way. We really had so much fun enjoying a new way of eating. We all can't wait to go back!
