Our little family left home yesterday morning at 6:15am, headed for St. George Island, FL. Traveling with a 12 week old, we prepared ourselves for what used to be a nice, quiet, leisurely 6 1/2 drive could now become a screaming, crying, loud 10+ hr. drive! I packed lots of diapers, several outfits, and many toys for the long car ride. David was asleep when we headed out:
He slept until it was time to eat. We made our first stop just long enough for him to eat, get a fresh diaper and change out of his p.j.'s. I told David we were going to the beach. He was SO excited:
We played with a few toys for a little while:
Then it was time to take another nap (with one of the toys):
David was such a good boy the whole trip down. We ended up making the journey in about 7 1/2 hrs. Not too bad for a little 12 week old boy! I hope the trip home is as successful.
