The Boat, The Beach, and A Wedding

What another super fun weekend we had!! On Thursday, bright and early [around 5:20am], Ryan and I scooped the kids out of their beds, put them in their car seats, and headed for the beach! We rented a house on the bay with a dock so we could use the offshore fishing boat Ryan and Rich own together.

On Friday, we hung out on the boat. David had a great time fishing [with help from Ryan and Bogie]. And Rachael tried to take a nap amid all the excitement.

Bogie liked fishing on the boat, but he really liked the house on the bay because the water was calm and just right for his way of "fishing".

That night we enjoyed a beautiful sunset from the porch.

And even got a family picture!

Saturday we went out on the boat again and had even MORE fun.

David did some more fishing and this time actually caught a few fish! He loved it.

Rachael had a ball crawling and pulling up all over the boat.

Look at those two teeth! They are really starting to push through now.

After David caught all the fish he could stand, we parked the boat at a nearby uninhabited beach.

David and Rachael played together so nicely as they worked to fill up their bucket with sand.

Rachael thought it was funny to crawl as fast as she could toward the ocean with her Mama hot on her trail. She loved splashing in the warm water once she got there.

We had such a fun time on this island digging, slashing, shell hunting, and just playing around together. I didn't want the day to end. It's such a special, rare time that we get to be together like this and I'm not worried at all about moving laundry, doing the dishes, or sweeping the floors. I can just enjoy my children, my husband, and my dog for at least a few hours without a care in the world.  It never lasts long enough.

That evening we attended Ryan's cousin's wedding on the same island. It was a very nice beach wedding. The weather was perfect and everything was beautiful.
[Thanks to Angie for letting me use the pictures she took at the wedding]

David, Ryan, Me, Rachael, Bing, Twinkle, Parker, and Aunt Nicole all enjoyed the wedding ceremony.  Uncle Michael was unable to make it.

On Sunday, we packed everything up from our bay house and met up with everyone pictured above [including Uncle Michael] at a beach house close by for some beach time with them.
