A Weekend in Warm Springs

We recently went on a weekend trip to Warm Springs, GA with our best friends The Cannons. And, of course, just as every other time we've been with them, we had a WONDERFUL time. David and Rachael loved spending time with Shiloh. She recently turned one and is able to keep up with 'the big kids' now. It's so much fun to watch them interact with one another.
We passed down Rachael's overalls from last year to Shiloh. The girls are basically one year apart, so the overalls were a perfect fit. We tried to get a picture of all three kids in their overalls [Rachael is now in David's from last year and David got a new pair], but Rachael wasn't interested in sitting in the leaves.

Shiloh and David discussing politics or religion, I'm sure.

Oh my goodness, how sweet is that?!

The girls enjoyed talking about baby dolls.

Rachael was very generous with her babies.

We laughed at this picture because it looks like a couple gazing at their newborn baby. A glimpse into the future...we can dream, can't we?

We stayed in a cottage inside FDR State Park. It was surrounded by great hiking trails. It was really neat to step out the front door and start hiking! The weather was perfect for exploring the woods and all trails had to offer.

David wanted his picture taken next to this tree...

Of course Rachael had to bring her baby along.

I think David picked up every big stick he found.

Rachael liked this felled tree because it looked like a slide.

David working on his balancing skills.

Rachael pausing to examine an acorn.

Shiloh was thoroughly entertained by David and Rachael during the entire hike.

Taking in the view of Delano lake.

Uncle David and Little David looking for a good fishing spot.

Shiloh had a good view and strong hold onto her Mama.

Back at our cabin the kids all enjoyed snack time together.

We went into town for dinner and Ryan had a chance to get strapped into a real electric chair. Even though it wasn't plugged in, I still wanted him out of the seat as soon as I took his picture.

The kids found something fun too.

We also visited FDR's Little White House.

Ryan has been teaching David and Rachael how to play Heads Or Tails with coins recently, so when David saw this plaque he ran over to it yelling "Look!! Heads, Tails! Heads, Tails! Take my picture with it, Mama!"

Rachael wanted her's taken too.

Inside the kids weren't interested in much of the museum, but they did like seeing FDR's car.

Their favorite part of the whole place was the water fountain.

Just outside The Little White House.

And only my children would use the information marker as a resting spot.

With such an action-packed weekend it was no surprise that the kids were asleep within minutes of getting into their seats to head back home.
