HAPPY VETERANS DAY!

The kids made THE MOST precious craft today just for Veterans Day. After seeing one in our local Home Depot, Ryan had been thinking about making this for awhile.
He cut and nailed the cedar planks and painted the blue square in the upper left corner [under David and Rachael's supervision].

After the paint was dry we took the kids' clothes off and let the fun and chaos begin. We alternated each child's hand prints. Then used their thumbs for the stars. In the end, both kids were covered in paint and so excited about their artwork. [Mama and Daddy were too!]

Here it is just after we finished.

After dinner tonight Ryan and David hung it up in a great location, a spot we all see many times a day. We are SO happy with it and know we will treasure it for years to come.
