It was one of those rare times, when for a few hours we were just focused on having fun, not worried about anything but which ride to go on next. We laughed until our sides ached and I know my cheeks, at least, were cramping from smiling so much. I love those times that it's the four of us enjoying the moment and making awesome memories.
The fair had come to town and we went on opening night [during the week, so there were NO lines].
David wanted to ride every ride, no matter how scary they looked or even if he wasn't tall enough according to the fair's height chart. There was one [I believe it was called The Ring of Fire] that went completely upside down while the passengers were caged into their seats. Next to the height chart for The Ring of Fire, he would stretch himself up and stand on his tippy-toes, but he was still nowhere near the required height. He was very upset about that. But, that was the only one he couldn't ride and so that's the only one he didn't ride.
The Pirate Ship was his favorite. You can't really see him, but you can see Ryan, who David is sitting next to.
He also rode on this thing that went way up in the air! David is the tiniest one on there!
Ryan rode most of the scary ride with him, except David and I rode on the Scrambler and Himalayan together. We both laughed so hard on those rides.
Rachael loved the fair too, but was a bit more limited to the "little kid" rides because of her height. She was okay with that. And David loved riding on those rides too!
The bumper cars were a huge hit for everyone!
These race cars were really cool.
The Merry-Go-Round. [Rachael's favorite!]
We were all first timers on the Ferris wheel. I only have a picture of Rachael and me because David and Ryan were in another bucket on the other side of the wheel [to balance it out, I think].
One time the wheel stopped to let some other people on and Rachael and I were at the very top!! I was a bit terrified, but tried taking in the view instead of freaking out.
Just before leaving we went down this gigantic slide!
We ended up staying much longer than we had planned, but we were just having too much fun to leave. We ate dinner in town, then headed home. We're already talking about next year when the fair comes to town.
The Ferris Wheel that evening after we ate dinner.
