We went to see the Easter Bunny today!! Like our most recent experience with Santa, David wasn't too sure about this big bunny. Easter seems to have snuck up on us this year and I forget to "talk up" the Easter Bunny until last night. So, on our way to this moment I was trying to prepare David for the fact that it was going to be a BIG bunny rabbit to have his picture with just like when he saw Santa. But, I could tell he wasn't completely understanding. As we waited in line and got closer and closer to the giant bunny, David started to realize what was going on and started to have second thoughts. He said he didn't want to see the Easter Bunny.
When it was David and Rachael's turn the nice man taking the pictures noticed that David was afraid and gave him some candy to help ease him into the photo shoot. David sat on the very end of the bench with his candy. He wouldn't get any closer. So, I handed Rachael over to the Easter Bunny and held David for the picture! (I'm so glad I wasn't wearing my usual outfit- black yoga pants and a t-shirt!) Once the picture was snapped, David was ready to go.
As soon as I stood up I expected to hear Rachael screaming. But, when I turned around she was just sitting there with the Easter Bunny, happy as can be. So, the nice photographer took one of just her with the Bunny.
She is wearing the be-a-u-ti-ful smocked dress her Great-Aunt Angie made just for her. It's the most perfect Easter dress. Here are a few closer up pictures.
Angie also made the bonnet. It's become a family heirloom and I am SO proud that she chose to pass it (along with several other items) to my little girl!

I am laughing out loud imagining David sitting on the very edge of the bench, not getting any closer to the Easter Bunny!! Rachael is so beautiful and the dress and bonnet are so special!!
