Yes, that's right. This weekend, I, the Mama, turned 31 years old. My birthday party was among the many fun activities we took part in this Memorial Day Weekend, all of which I will document soon.
But, first, my birthday!
I was able to celebrate my birthday at one of my most favorite places- our lake house that has been in my family for over 15 years! I love this place. So many wonderful memories have been made in this house and yet another was made this weekend. I got to open my gifts with the help of both my children- how fun!
Also, as promised, Ryan got to open presents for his birthday too.
I chose Key Lime Pie, made special by Ma, for my birthday "cake" [we had to have two pies to feed all of us]. David helped me blow out the candles, of course. He LOVES to blow out candles.
One of my birthday wishes was for my newest nephew, Parker James, to be released from the Vanderbilt NCIU and he was!! We are so happy that Parker was given a clean bill of health and was sent home on May 26th!! Welcome home, Parker! We are looking forward to meeting him very soon.
What a blessed birthday I had. I am grateful for so much. My family. My children. My husband. Our health. Our happiness.
I'm excited to see what this next year in my life will bring.
