Welcome to the new web address! I hope you found us easily.
What a fun weekend we had up at the lake house. Even though the water in the lake is much lower than it is in the Summer, we still had plenty to do. The Fall colors are creeping in on the mountain trees which gave us this beautiful view for the weekend.
As soon as we pulled into the driveway, the kids were ready to play in the mud [aka where the lake used to be].

While Rachael accomplished a BIG step in her journey to learning how to walk.
'I'm not so sure about this...'
'I'm not so sure about this...'

'Look, Mama, no hands!'

Those were David's jeans. He put the holes in them. I love that she can wear some of his clothes!
Saturday, after the rain stopped, we were back outside again.
I was so glad I bought these cute boots for Rachael the other day. They are great! Aside from the fact that they are adorable, they have tons of tread to keep her stable and the best part of all- they are machine washable!
While they were paddling around the lake and exploring the mountain. Rachael was once again loving her new found balance. Look at that face of determination she has! I love it.

David's highlight of the weekend had to be, without a doubt, going hunting with his Daddy! Even though they didn't see a single thing, David thought it was the best fun he has ever had. He talks about it all the time.
Yes, those are homemade binoculars- a paper towel roll cut in half, bound by packing tape.

I love the lake at all times of the year. It's easy to see David & Rachael like it, too! Just find other things to do when the lake goes down.
