Oh goodness, it's probably been nearly two months ago now, but there was a weekend that the kids and I were actually home and it happened to be the weekend David's school was holding a Spring Festival. I intended for us to just 'drop by' and check it out for about an hour or so in order to get back home for lunch and nap time. Ha! We ended up staying A LOT longer than that- past lunch time right into prime nap time. The kids were just having too much fun to leave!
There were tons of games
And I couldn't believe it, but David let these girls spray paint his hair blue!
And Rachael let them paint her face like a bunny [she was a bit of a moving target]

And of course there was an inflatable
We ended up eating lunch at the festival and leaving shortly after. Before we left the parking lot both kids were asleep. Usually if this happens, they wake up as soon as I pull in the driveway. Not this time. I was able to scoop each out of their car seat, carry them upstairs, and put them in bed for a short nap. I am not one who is comfortable with changing our daily routine, but we had so much fun. I don't regret how that day went a bit.

Looks like so much fun!!! And I agree, I am not one for changing our routine either but there are times when life is too important for routine. As long as it's not too frequent an occurrence I am fine with bending too!
