Counting

At lunch time this afternoon Rachael counted all the way to 14! How crazy is that?! A just-turned two year old counting to 14?! I couldn't have been more proud and shocked at the same time.
Well, actually I wasn't completely caught off guard because last week she counted from 1-5, I said 6, and she finished to 10. Then, today she thought she would count how many crackers she got with her sandwich and she just kept going and going. I couldn't believe it!
And I can't take an ounce of credit for it. I think she learned this from David and school. She watches his every moment and mimics almost everything he does. She is observant and always listening. She has picked up many of his mannerisms and ways of speaking. I give him the most credit for teaching her, not just counting but, everything she knows. I'm sure at school they count things during "Math" time, so it's just reiterating what she's heard David do many times.
Anyway, no matter how she learned it, I'm incredibly proud of my smart little girl!
