93 Years Old

In January, I decided I'm not going to document every single family member's birthday this year. I will still take a bunch of pictures of all the celebrations, but I won't be posting about them. Of course, it goes without saying, I'll post on David and Rachael's birthdays. But, there are two groups of extended family exceptions- cousins and great-grandparents.

This past weekend we celebrated David and Rachael's Great-Grandmother's 93rd BIRTHDAY! When you make it that far in life, you deserve a party for sure! Grandmother Abercrombie has a form of dementia, so she doesn't know who we all are [especially the younger ones]. But, she still had a wonderful time and that's all that matters.

David and Rachael loved sitting with the big kids for dinner.

After eating, there was singing and CAKE!

Not all of our family could be there, but we took some group pictures with those who were.

Grandmother and the young ones:

With some of her grandchildren:

Grandmother and Granddaddy with two out of three daughters [Twinkle and Aunt Sarah]:
Aunt Angie arrived just after pictures were taken and I'm sad we didn't get one with her in it!

Rachael [still with chocolate icing on her face] wanted to show Granddaddy her coloring skills:

And she showed Grandmother her bracelet made by Jacey:

And David showed Grandmother how to operate one of Granddaddy's many flashlights stashed around the house:

Then the kids gave their Great-Grandmother a gift and helped her open it:

And, I don't think it gets much sweeter:

We had a great time visiting with family and celebrating such a special woman. We stayed much longer than anticipated and the kids fell asleep for the night within moments of leaving.

Oh! And Bing needed lipstick.

Oh I love seeing all of these pictures! I SO WISH I could have been there. I love the one of Bing getting lipstick and the ones of David and Rachael showing Grandmother and Grandaddy different things. The picture of David kissing grandmother is so precious!! What a fun night!!
